S.P. Mandali’s Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College is a reputed center for higher education affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Situated in the heart of Mumbai, India, the College has maintained its reputation of being amongst the top affiliated colleges in India. The institution has always been flagship of perseverance to impart high quality education to its students and place itself as a premiere institution on the global map.
As an initiative for the same, Ruia Global Partnership Cell has strived to establish contacts with several reputed universities and institutions abroad. Through an exclusive MOU with Penn Hub Ruia is now connected with 158 Colleges in the United States of America, since 2014.
Ruia, now gets you an opportunity to pursue credit based courses in these foreign universities and these credits are transferable to various US Universities. Montgomery County Community College is an award-winning, nationally recognized two-year community college located outside of Philadelphia. MCCC has multiple physical campuses and locations as well as an online campus.
Ruia College is now planning to launch an online Business Certificate Program with MCCC and it also plans to launch Contact Tracer Training Program with yet another Community College very soon.
Partnership with US Universities
The Ruia Global Partnership Cell established a Center For American Education Collaborations in American Education & Research, Mumbai under an MoU with Center For American Education, Narsee Monjee Center for Excellence for the Universities in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and City of Philadelphia in October 2013.
The Program “Campus Pennsylvania” is an annual activity of Ruia Global Partnership Cell whereby approximately 20-25 students of Ruia College visit 7-8 Universities in the State of Pennsylvania every year, during Diwali Break, along with 2-3 Faculty Members.
This year on 23rd April 2019, Ruia Global Partnership Cell recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA and this would facilitate the Summer Programs, Workshops, Students Exchange, and Faculty Exchange.

Contact Tracer Training Program (CTTP)
HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, in partnership with Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College, Mumbai, India will be offering Contact Tracer Training. HACC is offering a 45-hour, four-week Contact Tracer Training Program in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The program is designed to prepare individuals for a career in contact tracing. This training will be taught by multiple experts from the field with the lead faculty being Dr. Sri Banerjee. Dr. Sri Banerjee has over fifteen years of experience in the areas of Public Health and Global Health. He has worked at the Centers for Disease Control in the area of infectious diseases and has worked on public health projects worldwide. Additionally, he has conducted award-winning research in the areas of HIV and chronic diseases and has experience writing grant proposals. His experience as a public health consultant and serving on the board of directors of public health organizations help in proving a practical front-line perspective to the learning of public health. Also, he has experience in advising students about public health projects.
Sri is a member of the American Medical Association, American Rural Health Association, and American Association of Family Physicians. He received his MD, MPH, PhD and postdoctoral training in the United States, United Kingdom, and the Caribbean and attended universities like the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Training is presented in a blended format including instructor-led classes conducted remotely via Zoom technology as well as other online components:
Week One: COVID-19 Basics, Basics of a Pandemic, CDC Guidance and Intro to Epidemiology (15 hours)
Week Two: Contact Tracer Requirements and Protocol (10 hours)
Week Three: Health Information Protection and Patient Privacy (10 hours)
Week Four: Contact Tracing in Various Scenarios, Customer Service, Cultural Sensitivity (10 hours)
Live class time via Zoom: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00pm-7:00pm IST (8:30-9:30am EST in U.S.)
Price: Rs. 40,000/- per person (25 minimum, 40 students maximum)
Program Start Date: Week of July 13, 2020– Class orientation and technology overview will be provided prior to the start of the course.
Pre-requisites: 18 years of age and High School Diploma
Students will earn a certificate of completion upon finishing the program.
