In 2017-18, Ruia College transitioned to autonomous status, marking a new chapter of academic innovation and excellence. The same year, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded the college an 'A+' Grade with an impressive CGPA of 3.70. BACM

Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media (BACM) Programme is a vibrant career option for all the students those who wish to seek admission. This is three years full-time course. Eligibility criteria for this course are 12th Pass, i.e. HSC examination in all streams. The course is offered in two languages namely Marathi and English. After successful completion of this three years course, students can join the industry in the fields of advertising and journalism. Students can also think of doing their startup by taking advantage of speciality subjects taught under this course.

Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College (Senior College)

The Ramnarain Ruia College was recently conferred with an Autonomous status in the month of July 2017 by the University of Mumbai and University Grants Commission. Ramnarain Ruia College is one of the Best Colleges in Mumbai, established in June 1937 by the Shikshana Prasaraka Mandali, Pune. It was the first educational institution in Mumbai run by a private management educational body. The college was declared open formally by H.E. Sir Roger Lumley, the then Governor of Bombay, on 3rd December 1937. A large amount of the credit of the establishment of this institution goes to Mataji Suvratadevi Ruia and her illustrious son, Seth Ramnivas Ramnarain Ruia, who extended a handsome donation of Rs.2,00,000 from the Ramnarain Harnandrai Charitable Trust.

Ramnivas Ruia Junior College, Matunga, a unit of S P Mandali’s Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College saw a hike in the passing percentage of both its Arts and Science students, in the just declared HSc result. Out of the 624 students who appeared in the Science stream 217 scored a distinction, 277 Grade I, 120 Grade II and 1 pass Grade. A total of 615 students passed giving a pass percentage of 98.6. 2 students scored 100/100 in Mathematics, 3 got a 200/200 in Computer Science. Our highest scorer in Science, Darshan Lodha got a 96.15%.
Out of 385 students who appeared in the Arts stream, 211 got a distinction, 95 Grade I, 63 Grade II and 5 pass grade. A total of 374 students passed giving a pass percentage of 97.14.
