Programs for skill development and entrepreneurship are a part of the allocated expenditure heads approved by RUSA. In this context, we are consolidating the activities under the Ruia Cell for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (RCIIE) by launching programs that will encourage to encourage enquiry, sustain inquisitiveness, promote innovation, and nurture entrepreneurial skills. The RCIIE will cater to students from both humanities and science faculties. As per the directives from RUSA, the Colleges being supported by RUSA will be launching their activities for Skill development and Entrepreneurship in a nation-wide, live, digitally telecast program of inauguration by the Honourable Prime minister, Shri. I request all colleagues to coordinate with their students and form a team of good selected students who could be identified as potential participants in the session regarding skill development and entrepreneurship. The students from vocational subjects would be obviously involved in the program but potential students from other subjects like languages, social sciences, Mass media, Computers, Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences etc. will also be involved. Therefore, wholehearted cooperation and participation is expected from all colleagues.

January 08, 2019 - Discussion Forum 'Dear Zindagi'
On 8th January, 2019(Tuesday) a discussion forum was conducted entitled ‘Dear Zindagi’ by Mr. Dayashankar Mishra (Blogger) and the Head of digital media (ZEE NEWS) by the Ruia Science Association(RSA) and the Gender Sensitization Cell.
People have started to become more selfish and restricted to themselves that they are no more sociable and are slowly approaching a phase of depression. He discussed about the causes of depression and how much our minds get influenced by the judgmental society. Social media worsens it by controlling each and every action and choices that we make in our life. This tends to make a person mentally and physically disturbed leading to harsh realities like suicide. Mr. Mishra also shared some of his experiences regarding the torments faced by the youngsters. He also said that it was our responsibility to realize and react on the different stages of life and shouldn’t be controlled by external forces; preaching one should always follow one’s own heart. Adding to this, he talked of Gandhian principles and how reading has helped him to grow into a better person.
