Department of Zoology Alumni Interaction- 1- Small birds on big mountains and how I came to study them?

Dr. Barve will talk about how an early interest in birds was promoted and advanced by Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College (Department of Zoology) field excursions, and how this led him to study avian evolutionary ecology on the highest mountains in the world. He will explore the adaptations Himalayan birds have to live in an environment that is cold with a rarified atmosphere, while sharing the experiences that got him interested in these topics.
