Social awareness is an important skill for students to develop in order to build positive relationships and make responsible decisions. Hence we, at the department of biochemistry celebrated world wood day, yoga day with our enthusiastic students. These celebrations will help the students to reach to the goal of Physical and mental Wellness.

SIGNATURE FESTIVAL UNDER SAMANVAY ‘APPETISERS’

THEME – CULTURE & KNOWLEDGE

‘Appetisers’ is the signature festival of the department which is celebrated under Samanvay. We are celebrating appetisers for more than ten years, and every year students participate with same enthusiasm and interest.

This year the theme was knowledge and culture. Our students represented six different cultures across India such as- Maharashtra, North India, South India etc. They prepared tasty, nutritious recipes, games, stall decorations as per the theme allotted to them. They learnt important life skills such as Entrepreneurship, communication, team building, time management.

WINTER VIBES - UNITY IN DIVERSITY

India is the land of festivals. As the New Year begins, we prepare to welcome the first festivals of the season. Hence, our students made posters about diet to be followed during this period. It helped students to understand the importance nutrition and balanced diet.

 

 

2020-21

BIOCHEMISTRY OF LOVE

We celebrated Valentines day in the department where our students made posters on topic ‘Biochemistry of love’.

Love is a biological process. It involves biochemistry of hormones like serotonin, oxytocin, non-adrenaline etc.

 

 

NATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION

12th January is the Birth Date of the Swami Vivekanand. It is celebrated every year as National Youth Day in schools, colleges, and other educational institutes. 

This year, our department is Virtually celebrating National Youth day. The theme of the year 2021 is “Channelizing Youth Power for Nation Building”
