Q. What programs are offered by the department?
Ans. We offer undergraduate and post graduate programs in Computer Science, and post graduate in Information Technology.
Q. What are the admission requirements for undergraduate programs?
Ans. Admission will be done on the basis of 12th std. marks & Math being as one of the subject mandate.
Q. I did not have Mathematics in class 12th. Can I opt for B.Sc. Computer Science?
Ans. Mathematics is compulsory for applying to B.Sc. Computer Science.
Q. Is there any entrance examination for admission?
Ans. As of yet the admission is on merit basis for both UG and PG courses. However if there is any change w.r.t this I will inform students in advance.
Q. What are the admission requirements for post graduate programs?
Ans. Post Graduate program admissions generally require a bachelor's degree in Comp Sci or Information Technology.

Q. Can I change my major or add a minor?
Ans. No, You cannot change.
Q. What facilities are available for CS & IT students?
Ans. Our department offers state-of-the-art computer labs, and collaborative work areas.
Q. Where to find the detailed syllabus for the course curriculum?
Ans. The detailed syllabus is updated on the college website.
Q. How often the syllabus is upgraded?
Ans. The syllabus is upgraded every year depending on the current industrial trend and requirements. The inputs regarding the syllabus upgradation are suggested by industrial experts from various sectors, Alumni’s who are working in various fields.
Q. What is the duration of this course?
Ans. As per NEP, from 2023 it is a 4 year course. However, given below are the exit option for the students:
Exit After FYBSC - award of UG certificate in Major with 44 credits and an additional 4 credit Core NSQF course/ Internship or Continue with Major and Minor.
Exit After SYBSC- award of UG Diploma in Major with 88 credits and an additional 4 credit Core NSQF course/ Internship or Continue with Major and Minor.
Exit After TYBSC- award of UG Degree in Major with 132 credits or Continue with Major for Honours.
Q. Are there any industrial/ educational visits organised by the department?
Ans. The department organises Educational Visits every year.
Q. Can students undergo any internship programmes during the course tenure?
Ans. Yes. We encourage students to take up Summer internship FYBSc/ SYBsc/ TYBSc level to enhance their skills. However, their is a compulsory 3 months internship programme in MSc II.
Q. What is the schedule for the Regular Lectures/Practicals?
Ans. This is a full time course. FYBSc will have the schedule from 10:05 to 4:00pm. SYBSc & TYBSc will have the schedule from 7:30am to 1:00pm. MSc schedule is from 8am to 5pm. Also this schedule is subject to change as per the availability of the Visiting faculty from Industries and also labs availability slots.
Q. Does the department provide placements after MSc?
Ans. We provide placement opportunities for students depending upon their area of interest and evaluation of their efforts throughout the course.
Q. Are there any textbooks that are offered by the course?
Ans. This is a demanding course which keeps changing as new technologies come up. Hence rather than textbooks we gives reference books in the form of e-book.
