Message from Dean

I, Dr. Kamini Donde Dean Research, welcome you all to Research Cell for Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College. For an educational institution research should be a strong component of the teaching learning process. It becomes an enlightening experience for the students and a perspective expanding one for the teachers, the two major stake holders of any educational process. Research makes the students aware of different parameters to be considered in approaching a problem. For faculty it helps in expanding the spectrum of perception.

The office of Dean Research should support different activities beneficial to the stakeholders.  It should include encouraging, nurturing research, providing different platforms for showcasing the research activities, procuring funding, capturing industrial projects through collaborative efforts and channelising energy of the students in to research projects of small duration.

The office of Dean Research would like to initiate the following steps to strengthen the research culture that Ruia College already has.

1. To upgrade the available infrastructure and its maximum utilisation.

2. An all-out attempt to garner projects from Industry.

3. To motivate students to take up the research projects in such a way that the projects of a small group can make one aspect of a major Research problem.

4. Tutoring faculty for writing research projects and students for taking them up.

In conclusion, the office of Dean Research should foster the edifice of knowledge through different activities for the stake holders.
