Activities of the Department
The department organizes annual signature festival ‘Appetisers’. In Appetisers, 10 to 12 food based themes are given to students in groups. Students from all classes (FYBSc to MSc II) are placed in one group. On the day of Appetisers, Students explain charts and working models made by them to give an insight into their themes. They serve delicious and nutritious recipes prepared by them, present them and explain its health benefits. Fun games are also arranged. Eminent personalities are invited as the Chief Guest for the event to motivate students and present real life examples in front of them. Parents, Teacher colleagues and students from other departments attend the event. Students not only enjoy this activity very much but also it helps them learn many life skills such as developing Teamwork and Collaborations, Enhancing Social and Emotional Learning, Improving Risk Analysis and troubleshooting, Entrepreneurship etc.
