THE RUIAITE - COLLEGE MAGAZINE
The Ruiaite Monthly is a one-of-its-kind digital magazine managed and maintained by Ruia’s students, under the able guidance of its Chief Editor Dr. Devayani Ganpule.
Inaugurated on 15th August 2015 by Principal Suhas Pednekar, the Monthly is the brainchild of its very first three Executive Editors - Purnima Nair, Raj Kamble and Pankag Ghuge. Their idea behind launching this innovative magazine was to provide a digital literary platform to all the Ruiaites to express their opinions, share their ideas, and hone their literary and creative skills.
Boasting an active readership of hundreds of current students, alumni as well as members of the college faculty, the Ruiaite Monthly has grown into a major student-run institution. Apart from releasing monthly editions containing a vast array of theme-based columns, the Monthly also undertakes various activities like live reporting Ruia’s annual fest Utsav-Aarohan and other events, releasing expertly edited videos on special occasions, and conducting monthly discussions on particular topics through its discussion club, The Mehfil. While the Monthly was headed by Amrita Shenoy, Sarath Warrier and Aniruddha Inamdar during the academic year 2016-2017, it saw Ojas Chaudhari, Madhureema Neglur and Apurva Tudekar in the role of Executive Editors in 2017-2018, helming a team of about 85 student volunteers.
This academic year (2018-2019), they are succeeded by Gayatri Godbole, Aditi Kulkarni and Aditi Patil.
