The LMC is a Statutory Body, formed as per Section 85 of the Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994. The powers and duties of LMC are stated in the same. The LMC comprises elected representatives of teaching and non-teaching staff, a few representatives of the parent body and experts from various fields, and this Committee can make recommendations.
The College has 18 administrative committees. These committees comprise faculty members who assist the college administration in carrying out various routine functions like Examinations and Grievances, Unfair means, Scholarships, Purchases, Discipline, Gymkhana, Admissions, Vigilance, Library among others. These powers are delegated to the Chairpersons of these Committees, who directly report to the Principal. All the Committees and Statutory bodies meet at regular intervals, or as and when required.
To encourage individual participation and democratic management, Staff Common Room Meetings are held periodically (four to six times during a year). The Staff Common Room Meetings provide a forum for interaction over new policies, plans and performance reviews. The teachers can question any decisions of locally formed committees, and open debate is encouraged. The Staff Common Room has initiated certain good practices, which include. Felicitating teachers on their academic achievements: Doctorate/M Phil/Additional qualification honour received. Contributing to emergency causes, taking up relief activities etc. Celebrating cultural events involving teacher performances for students on Childrens Day.
